The Winemaker

'Jennie Gardner and Col McBryde work super old vineyards, planted in 1910, in Spring Farm Valley, SA. Lifted aromatics, chasing natural acids, is often hard to wrangle in these parts. Still, they have consistently offered wines that reflect place rather than estate styles often attributed to the well-established labels of the Clare Valley.'

The Wine

'Their Shiraz drives aromatics of blueberry, mulberry with smoky bacon fat and dried bay leaf. The palate has blueberry and raspberry seeds. Fancy strawberry yoghurt with a chalky tannin hangs with considerable length.'
