The Winemakers
Three very different winemakers do their take on rosé. Starting with Gilles Lapalus, Goggle him, a true master of winemaking. Born in Burgundy, France and now living in Central Victoria, former Head Winemaker at Sutton Grange Winery, Australia is lucky to have him. Aaron Mercer, the Maker in the trio behind the Maker, Master, Merchant label is passionate about the wines he makes and the land he tends. And rounding out the trio, Will Gilbert, a fifth generation winemaker and winner of the 2020 Young Gun of Wine, People's Choice award, which is the one you want to win!
The Wines
Three very different takes on rosé. Gilles' Bespoke Bertrand Rosé was a big hit for us at the recent Melbourne Good Food & Wine Festival - hand picked grapes, natural fermentation in tank, a grown-up rosé. Aaron's MMM Organic Rosé is a whole lot of fun, orange juice vibes and packed with flavour. While Will's rosé is back by popular demand for a second run with us, nice and dry with loads of pink grapefruit characters on the nose.
